Alder Tech, Systems + Strategy

Who Am I?
The behind-the-scenes business partner for coaches, healers, wellness practitioners, and service-based business owners who are doing powerful work but carrying way too much of it in their head.
I didn't get here the traditional way. Animal care. Recruitment. PA work. And for almost ten years, a quiet dream of building something of my own that never quite felt like the right time.
Then came maternity leave....then redundancy! And somewhere in the middle of all the chaos, a new baby and an unexpected ending, a decision was made...if not now, when?
I started out as a VA doing everything for everyone. Inboxes, content, socials, a million tools. I said yes to whatever I could. I was busy all the time and still felt like nothing was properly held; including me. The early days were messy and uncertain and nothing like the version I'd imagined for ten years. But I kept going.
The turning point didn't come from a strategy session or a business course. It came from a coaching call. I was telling my coach everything I'd been doing for a client, rebuilding their entire booking and email system from scratch, mapping their workflows, building their client journey, and she stopped me. "You know you naturally think strategically," she said. "That isn't something that comes naturally to everyone."
I'd had no idea. I thought that was just part of being a VA. It wasn't. And once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it.
I stopped doing everything for everyone and started doing what I actually love, being a genuine strategic partner for purpose-led business owners who are ready for their business to feel as good behind the scenes as it does out front.
And Alder? The name comes from my daughter's birth month tree. She's the reason I stopped waiting for the right time. It felt right to carry that forward.

Who I Work With
You might be exactly who I work with
I work with coaches, healers, wellness practitioners, and service-based business owners who are:
→ Doing powerful work but carrying way too much of it in their head
→ Full of ideas with no bandwidth to actually move them forward
→ Struggling with tech that doesn't work the way it should
→ Ready for someone to think with them, not just execute for them
If you read that and felt seen, we should probably talk.
How I actually work
I don't show up with a checklist and disappear when it's done.
I zoom out. I look at the full picture; your tech, your systems, your strategy, the gaps you haven't had headspace to notice yet. I ask better questions, look in all the nooks and crannies, and give you my honest take, always with your best interests at heart.

I care deeply about building something that supports you, not one that constantly needs saving. That means solid foundations over quick fixes. Clear over complicated. Systems that actually make sense rather than ones that quietly stress you out.

And above all, your life first. Always. Your business should fit around the life you want, not consume it.

No judgment. No jargon. Just honest, calm, strategic support from someone who's genuinely invested in how your business feels to run.

And when I close the laptop...
I'm based in Winchester with my husband Carl - who I met when I was 19, which probably tells you everything you need to know about my loyalty to the things I care about.
I'm mum to a little girl who keeps me grounded and reminds me daily that life is more important than work. I walk Bruce (spaniel) and Bane (Cane Corso x Presa Canario - yes, really) every single day come rain or shine. It's my version of pressing reset.
You'll usually find me at the gym, reading something about psychology or human behaviour, pulling a tarot card, or sitting with a cup of tea building out someone's systems while a playlist runs in the background.
When I'm not doing any of that, I will be somewhere outdoors (woods, beaches, lakes) or on my motorbike I have my full licence and there's something about being on a bike with nowhere to be that nothing else quite matches.
I'm also a lover of tattoos - I have a fair amount of them, which tends to surprise people. It shouldn't - I've always been someone who commits fully to the things I love.
I'm a Sagittarius Sun, Virgo Moon, Gemini Rising - which means I'm equal parts big picture thinker, detail-obsessed, and always up for a conversation that goes somewhere unexpected.
I believe your clients work with you because of who you are, not just what you can do. I feel exactly the same way about my own business.
